Aluminum in the X7

All aluminum parts are from 7075-T6 certified material, whether plate stock or hammer forging.   The lower receiver, forend, barrel nut and optional side- and bottom-rails are machined in-house from plate stock.  The upper receiver is partially machined by Nordic Industries from a standard hammer-forging and then the top rail and a few other items are machined in our shop.  The lower receiver extension is an impact-extrusion-based standard part from VLTOR.  The charging handle is the industry-standard BCM Gunfighter, also made by VLTOR.  All aluminum parts are coated with 0.002” Type III hard anodization and further protected with Cerakote oven-cured ceramic coatings.  We believe the aluminum frame of the X7 is the most rigid and most corrosion-resistant in the industry.
